Road link to Ba Na Hills Resort opens tomorrow
Over recent days, construction workers have been busy completing the remaining work of the Hoang Van Thai extended road project, which will link Da Nang centre with the Ba Na Hills Resort, to ensure that it can be officially opened to traffic tomorrow (25 April).
Work started on the over 1 trillion VND road on 24 March 2014. Developed by the city’s Dia Cau Join Stock Company, the project is being implemented on the build-transfer (BT) basis. Once the project is completed, the resort will be only 20 minutes’ drive by car from the inner city and the road will be one of the most beautiful in the city’s suburbs.

The 10.46km-long, 21m-wide, 6-lane road runs through Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts, and it meets second-grade urban street standards. It has 5m-wide pavements, 3m-lane dividers, and a maximum speed of 60 kph.
Numerous trees are being planted alongside the road whilst its lane-dividers and pavements feature colourful flowers and impressive floral decorations, which ensure a harmony between the landscape along the road and its eye-catching natural surroundings.
A total of 532 lamp-posts are being installed along the whole route to give good visibility for road users in the evenings. In addition, a total of 20km of power cables are being moved underground in order to give a high aesthetic value. All the manholes and sloping ground along the road are being covered with grass and trees to hide them from public view.
