On Tuesday, the Da Nang Technical University of Medicine and Pharmacy officially opened its medical diagnosis centre at 99 Hung Vuong Street.

The centre, which serves as a third-grade public hospital, has one Associate Professor, 5 with doctorates in Medicine, and 30 doctors.  The centre features different departments including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, dermatology, traditional Vietnamese medicine, rehabilitation, cancer screening and odonto-maxillo-facial treatment.

Apart from providing health care services, the centre is a place where there are medical practice classes for the University’s students.  This is the first fully integrated hospital and medical school in the city and this model is expected to be further developed in the near future.

To mark the occasion, the new centre provided free medical examinations and medicine for 50 elderly and poor people from Hai Chau District.
