Training programme on intensive care

An international training programme on intensive care is taking place from 13 to 15 April in Da Nang.  The event is being attended by 200 doctors from large hospitals nationwide.

The event has been jointly organised by the Da Nang General Hospital, the city’s C Hospital, the Bach Mai Hospital in Ha Noi, the Viet Nam Association of Emergency Critical Care Medicine and Medical Toxicology, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine in the USA.

The trainees are attending courses on basic intensive care, ultrasound in intensive care, instructions for putting patients on ventilators, paediatric intensive care, disaster emergencies, and intensive care nursing skills.

The courses are being taught by professors and doctors from renowned universities and medical establishments in the USA, including the Mayo Clinic, the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and the Saint Anthony Hospital, along with leading intensive care experts from Viet Nam.
