Director Petzsche said that he and representatives from around 10 German businesses have recently attended an employment enrolment and career connection day entitled “Viet Nam-Germany Cooperation in Vocational Training - Vision and Prospects”, in Da Nang. The event offered numerous attractive job opportunities to Vietnamese citizens aged between 20 and 35. They were required to have intermediate degrees/certificates or higher education ones in construction, nursing, tourism or mechatronics.
Those who pass the preliminary round of interviews with the participating businesses at the event will take a 25 million VND German language course for between 6 and 8 months in Viet Nam. They will then be given free training courses in Germany on improving their professional skills. In addition, they will be given the opportunity to work there with a monthly salary of 40-60 million VND for at least 3 years.
The Principal of the Nguyen Van Troi Vocational Junior College, Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Nhan, stressed the need for Vietnamese guest workers to improve their professional and innovation capacities, and to flexibly adapt to technological changes. This will help them better integrate into any foreign labour markets, including Germany.
