3 killed, 2 injured in Thuan Phuoc Bridge crash
At around 5:30pm on Monday, a collision between a 7-seater car and 2 motorcycles occurred on the Thuan Phuoc Bridge in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District, killing 3 people and injuring 2 others.
38-year-old Duong The Hiep from Quang Binh Province was driving the car when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into 2 motorcycles which were travelling in the opposite direction. At the time, the car was en route from Son Tra District to Hai Chau District.

57-year-old Dinh Cong Trang and his wife 54-year-old Trinh Thi Thai were on one motorcycle, whilst 34-year-old Le Thi Van Khanh and 2 children were on the other.
The horrific collision completely wrecked the 2 motorcycles with debris scattered all across the road. Mr Trang died on the spot, whilst his wife fell over 30 metres from the bridge to the ground below. Ms Khanh and one of the 2 children also fell from the bridge. She was found dead at the foot of the bridge whilst the child was seriously injured. The remaining child was found lying on the bridge with severe injuries. The 2 children were then rushed to the Da Nang General Hospital for treatment.
Soon after the collision, many local police officers quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.
The case is still under investigation.
