The Hai Chau District Police in Da Nang are investigating recent cases of car windows being smashed to steal property from inside.

At dawn on Thursday, 2 cars parked overnight on Dong Da Street were found broken into with their side windows smashed.  One was a white Hyundai Grand i10 and the other a black Toyota Attis.  The owners of the cars are both from the district’s Thạch Thang Ward.

A few days before, a man from the same ward had reported to the local police that his Toyota Camry had been stolen.  Police later found his car abandoned on the Nam O Bridge in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Bac Ward.  The tyres of the vehicle were damaged, its side windows had been broken, and some of the car’s body panels were deformed.  It is believed that the thief left the car on the bridge after its engine unexpectedly broke down.
