Medical staff honoured for saving lives of children injured in bridge crash

On Thursday, 2 departments and 3 individuals from Da Nang General Hospital received Certificates of Merit from the municipal People’s Committee (PC) for their great efforts in saving the lives of 2 children who had been seriously injured in a horrific accident on the Thuan Phuoc Bridge on 13 July. 

The recipients were the departments of Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care and Examination and Emergency, doctors Huynh Duc Phat and Doan Quang Vinh, and nurse Nguyen Thi Phuc from the Department of Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care.

On behalf of the city leaders, municipal PC Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung highly praised the hospital’s staff members for their involvement in treating the children. 

According to a representative from the hospital, the children are now gradually recovering.  They are in full possession of their senses and are able to eat and drink normally.
