The Da Nang People’s Committee has already approved resettlement plans for a total of 101 families who will be affected by the rebuilding of the city’s Con Market.

They all live in 4 residential areas in Hai Chau District’s Hai Chau No 2 Ward.  Some of them are facing a shortage of money to build new homes after moving from their old ones.

Eight houses with façades onto Hung Vuong Street will receive resettlement land lots in residential areas in the wards of Hoa Cuong Nam and Hoa Cuong Bac in Hai Chau District.  Meanwhile, 59 houses of under 50m2 each in nearby alleys will be allowed to choose whether they will be provided with units in an apartment building at 201 Dong Da Street, or land lots in the residential areas mentioned above.  The remaining 34 houses of over 50m2 each in these alleys will receive accommodation in the apartment building and land lots in the residential areas.
