The Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs has urged local relevant agencies to keep a close eye on people arriving in Da Nang from MERS-CoV-hit countries worldwide.  A focus should be on conducting precautionary measures against MERs-CoV in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, and updating information and preventative measures about the disease.

The city’s labour providers have been asked to restrict sending its workers to epidemic-hit countries and territories, especially South Korea and Middle East nations.

The Department has also advised that anyone returning from a MERS-CoV-hit country suffering from fever, a cough or breathing difficulties within 14 days of their return should go to the nearest medical station for tests and immediately inform the city’s Preventive Medical Centre on 05113 821 469.
