50 DVB-T2 set-top boxes donated to local poor families

On Monday, the VTC Digital Company in Ha Noi donated 50 DVB-T2 set-top boxes (STBs), which decode digital TV signals, to poor families in Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.
The STBs, which are labelled VTC-T201, are digital compatible devices meeting the national standards and regulations of the Ministry of Information and Communications. A DVB-T2 device is now priced at 580,000VND.

The company will also fund the installation of the donated devices, but the recipients must pay the monthly subscription fees.
Currently, the city authorities are giving free-of-charge STBs to local households living below or near the city’s poverty threshold, and to poor social policy and ethnic minority families in the locality.
