The Da Nang People’s Committee has given the go ahead for a 15-minute-long fireworks display which will start at 9.00pm on 2 September to mark the 70^th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day.

The fireworks will be let off on barges floating on the Han River in front of the former Han River Port, on the section between the Han River and Thuan Phuoc bridges. 

The city’s Military Command will be responsible for organising the fireworks show.  Meanwhile, police officers from the municipal Department of Police will be on duty around the clock between 27 August and 3 September to ensure the absolute safety of local residents and visitors before, during and after the event.
