Approval has been given by the Da Nang authorities for the former Han River Port to be changed into a wharf for tourist trip boats, where passengers will depart on local river tours. 

Top priorities will be to build waiting areas for the passengers, public toilets and an entrance gate to the site, along with locating litterbins and setting up water and electricity supplies. 

The investment capital will be raised by an appeal to the general public.
