On Wednesday, a group of 10 French doctors and nurses from the Viet Nam Association for Child Victims of AO/Dioxin in France provided free examinations and treatment in Da Nang for around 100 AO affected children from the city and from Quang Nam Province.

The French association covered the patients’ treatment costs and, in addition, each patient was given between 3 and 5 million VND towards their travel expenses.

The association also presented scholarships, worth around 87 million VND in total, to 34 AO affected pupils.  In addition, gifts valued at a total of 12 million VND, were given to some AO child victims from the two localities.

Established in 2001 in France, the association aims to help Vietnamese AO-affected children who have mental disabilities and physical deformities.
