As part of the ongoing US Navy-led Pacific Partnership 2015 (PP15) in Da Nang, a seminar entitled ‘Collaborative Disaster Preparedness’ is taking place in the city between 18 and 20 August.

Participants are discussing and sharing their mutual experiences on how to respond to natural disasters and find the best solutions for recovering from disasters.

The focus will be on raising public awareness of disaster response preparations and building a professional crossover community network.  In addition, lessons from other Asian Pacific countries’ responses to natural disasters and effective methods adopted by the international community, regional organisations, and the US government to help affected countries to cope with natural disasters will be presented at the event.
