The Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) has asked airports nationwide to set up special inspection teams in an attempt to combat the theft of passenger’s property.

The inspection teams will be responsible for making random and unscheduled inspections of the airport security staff and employees in the luggage and cargo handling areas.

The airports are also being urged to randomly rotate jobs for their security staff and organise cross-inspections between their security teams to prevent staff members colluding to steal passenger’s property.
