The Deputy Director of the Da Nang Socio-Economic Development Research Institute, Mr Tran Duc Anh Son, recently presented a lecture in the city entitled ‘Truong Sa - Hoang Sa, Vietnamese Islands and the Cultural History of Hue Citadel’. 

Co-organised by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the local Tour Guide Club, the lecture was attended by over 200 tour guides for domestic and foreign visitors. 

The participants were provided with useful information about the country’s political situation and sovereignty over its sea and islands, as well as the cultural history of the Hue Citadel.  The lecture was intended to help Da Nang develop its own tour guides who have in-depth knowledge of their professions.
