Following a recent decision by Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade will work closely with the local Market Management Bureau, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and People’s Committees in local districts to increase checks on local restaurants' displayed prices where the main customers are visitors.

The purpose is to ensure that local restaurants display the prices of their services, and sell them at those prices.  This will help to preserve the tourism image of the city to attract more domestic and international visitors.

As well as imposing strict penalties on violators, local relevant agencies will revoke certificates of business registration for any restaurants which display unfair food prices.
