Ensuring a safe and joyful Mid-autumn Festival
Following instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee, all local districts are required to organise attractive activities for local children over the forthcoming Mid-autumn Festival, which this year falls on 27 September.
Special attention will be paid to local poor and ethnic minority children and those whose fathers are fulfilling assigned tasks safeguarding the national sovereignty over its sea and islands.
In addition, local families, schools and the community will be encouraged to uphold their responsibilities towards local children.

The city’s Department of Health has been asked to increase its checks and tighten the monitoring of food safety and hygiene at local mooncake-making establishments and confectionery stores selling the cakes during the build up to the festival.
The municipal departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Industry and Trade have also been urged to jointly conduct regular inspections to deal promptly with any shops which are selling cultural products and toys which are hazardous or violence-oriented and inappropriate for children.
