Over the recent 3-month summer, the South-East Asia Region (SEAR) of the World Health Organisation, the Fund for Supporting Children in Da Nang, and the local district authorities combined their efforts to help poor children across the city. SEAR spent about 340 million VND in total for local charitable activities during the period.
This was spent on repairing houses for 5 poor families with children in Hoa Vang District and giving financial aid to over 30 local poor children with life-threatening diseases. In addition, at the beginning of the 2015 - 2016 academic year, SEAR donated 59 bicycles and gave scholarships to around 190 poor school pupils.
