On Monday the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC) Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and Vietnam News Agency (VNA)’s General Director Nguyen Duc Loi entered into an agreement to publish information about the city in VNA's publications.

Under the agreement, the city authorities will create very favourable conditions for VNA’s reporters to perform their work in the city.  Local relevant agencies will  regularly provide information about local events and matters for them.

With regard to the city’s sensitive issues, local relevant agencies will be responsible for allowing VNA reporters to report on them as quickly as possible.  In addition, any official solutions to such matters will be provided for reporters to help them timely publicise these through their domestic and foreign media outlets.

Meanwhile, the VNA will become actively involved in publishing the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State, the Government and the city.  Importance will be attached to reporting the city’s internal and foreign affairs in relation to its economy, society, culture, education, security, tourism, and services. 

In addition, heed will be paid to publicising the city’s great potentials and strengths via VNA’s published documents, photos and videos in order to counter any fabricated or distorted information about the city.
