As from 10 October, Da Nang’s Han Bridge has been swinging open earlier than normal on Saturdays and Sundays, between 11pm and midnight, for the benefit of visitors who want to watch.

All vehicles are banned from using the bridge during the 15 minutes before the opening of the bridge for safety and preparation purposes.

The municipal Department of Transport, in conjunction with the authorities in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts, has arranged to have traffic police on duty at both ends of the bridge during the 15-minute preparation time in order to ensure traffic order and safety. 

During the first month of this earlier opening, police officers will be on duty to give guidance to road users about using alternative bridges to cross the river.
