Local volunteers clean up Son Tra Peninsula
On Sunday, a total of over 400 volunteers from Da Nang’s Green Son Tra Peninsula Voluntary Organisation and the city’s branch of Let’s Do It Viet Nam were involved in cleaning up some tourist areas on the Son Tra Peninsula.
The event was in response to the city’s ‘Year for Culture and Urban Civilisation 2015’ programme and its ‘Green, Clean and Beautiful Sunday’ campaign. The intention was to combine their efforts to ensure the biodiversity of the peninsula.

The day's activities aimed at raising awareness among visitors to the Peninsula, and the area’s households and businesses, about not discarding rubbish in the area in order to ensure its natural environmental sanitation.
