On Tuesday, building work officially started on a cardiovascular centre at the Da Nang General Hospital.

Covering an area of 3,560m², the 236 billion VND centre will feature a 37.55m-tall, 9-storey-plus-1-basement building providing 200 patient beds.

There will also be auxiliary facilities including medical gas, drainage and wastewater treatment systems, an electricity substation, a refuse area, working space for security guards, a vehicle parking area, internal roads, underground water storage tanks, and an area planted with trees surrounding the centre.

The ground-breaking ceremony

The project is expected to open its doors to the public next year.
