At 5.00 pm last Sunday, police officers from the Drug Crime Investigation Team of the Lien Chieu District Police Station detained 26-year-old Dao Anh Khoa from the district’s Hoa Minh Ward for illegally possessing around 10 grams of methamphetamine.  Khoa admitted that the drugs had been bought from a local man underneath the Tien Son Bridge, and he had intended to resell these drugs to local addicts.

Previously, at 11.00 pm on 26 December, 4 local drug addicts had been found illegally using heroin in a rented house at 129 Nguyen Phuc Dong in Hoa Minh Ward.  A packet of methamphetamine, 3 million VND in cash, and many drug interaction tools were seized at the scene.

On 25 December, 19-year-old Ho Van Manh from the same ward had been caught selling drugs, valued at 500,000 VND, to a drug addict at the ward’s VK game internet shop.  Local police officers had then made an inspection of Manh’s house and seized a packet of methamphetamine and many drug interaction tools.
