Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District Forest Rangers Unit and the district’s relevant agencies have been working together to investigate illegal logging activities in sub-region 12 of the Ba Na-Nui Chua special use forest and at sub-region 20 in the Hoa Bac Commune in Hoa Vang District.  They hope to arrest some suspects soon.

Since mid-November, an estimated 130m³ of timber has been illegally logged from pristine woodland areas across Da Nang.  Most notably, 120m³ of it was taken from sub-region 20.  However, the city’s forest rangers only managed to find and seize 10m³ of the poached timber which had been left in the special use forest by the illegal loggers.
