On Tuesday, police officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Division (PC46) of the Da Nang Police Department seized a Toyota Camry with the registration plate 29A-719.73 which is suspected of having been imported illegally.

Previously, at 10.00 am on 7 December, the vehicle had been stopped by police officers from PC46 and the local Traffic Police Division.  The driver was 40-year-old Tran Xuan An from Thanh Khe District.  It was found without any relevant papers to prove its origin, and it had fake registration plates.

This was the 3^rd suspect car to be seized by the local police over the past 3 months. 

The Toyota Camry 29A-719.73

On 25 November, police officers also from PC46 identified and seized a Lexus LX470 with the registration plate 29Y-4876 on suspicion of having been imported illegally. 

On 14 October, a 6 billion VND Bentley was also seized by local police officers for the same reason.  Mr Hoang Dung Man from Quang Binh Province’s Quang Trach District, the driver of the vehicle, had not provided relevant papers relating to its origin.  The car was also found with fake registration plates, making it difficult for the local police force to identify its owner.
