On Wednesday, the Saigon Times Foundation (STF) presented scholarships, worth 5 VND million each, to 10 poor students from Da Nang’s Dong A University who had gained good study results during the 2014 - 2015 academic year.

Also at the presentation event, the Vietnamese-French businessman, Mr Jean-Pierre Angella, gave scholarships to 2 of the university’s students who are in very difficult circumstances.  The 2 students will have their tuition fees and cost of living covered during their remaining years of studying at the university.

STF is a non-profit organisation which was jointly set up by the Saigon Times and its business readers in February 2002 to support Viet Nam’s education and training sector.

Previously, on 22 September, the Children of Viet Nam Organisation had awarded scholarships, worth 1 million VND each, to 50 poor studious students at the university.
