Young graduates dedicated to helping autistic children
Two 22-year-old male graduates from the Psychology Faculty of the Da Nang University of Education, Nguyen Viet Van from Quang Nam Province and Nguyen Xuan Thao from Nghe An Province, have decided to become teachers at Da Nang’s Sunrise for Autism Music School. With its headquarters in Ha Noi, the school aims to help local children with autism.
Whilst attempting to gain employment at the school, these young men read many documents relating to autism and how to play with and teach autistic children. In addition, they often participated in themed workshops about children with autism to equip themselves with more knowledge and skills for their jobs.

Viet Van said that, like the other teachers at the school, he takes care of 1 or 2 autistic children and he is required to know how to promote their hidden potential through such activities as singing, dancing, drawing or making handicrafts.
Xuan Thao said that his greatest wish is that autistic children will be able to integrate into the community and study and work like everyone else.
