20-year-old Nguyen Truong Sinh is a second-year student in the Faculty of Bridge and Road Engineering at the Da Nang University of Architecture.  In addition to his studies at the university, the Ha Tinh-born student often takes part in various charitable activities and has had part-time jobs to acquire more practical skills and knowledge.

The self-motivated student used to work part-time as a waiter at local restaurants and as a singer at local wedding parties and tea rooms. 

Last year, he used all his savings to open the city’s branch of the Ha Noi-based Van Anh Audio Company at 78 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.  The shop specialises in selling various types of musical instruments including Cajon drums, flutes, 16-chord zithers, and guitars.

The young shopowner can play many different instruments himself, and he is also very good at fixing broken ones. 

Currently, Sinh earns around 5 million VND each month from sales of musical instruments.  He said that his life has become more meaningful since he started his own business because the job has helped him to satisfy his great passion for playing musical instruments and earns him extra money to cover his daily expenditure.
