A total of 31.4 billion VND from the Da Nang budget will be spent on Tet gifts and allowances for local poor social policy beneficiaries.  The receivers will include senior revolutionary veterans, very poor social policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, People's Armed Forces heroes, labour heroes, war invalids, and the families of martyrs.

In addition, representatives of the city’s authorities will pay pre-Tet visits to the city’s care centre for those who have rendered service to the nation, the local Military Command, the Thai Phien Club for senior citizens, the Da Nang Power Company, the 05-06 Vocational Training and Education Centre for juvenile offenders, and the central regional branch of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.  They will also lay wreaths at the local martyrs’ cemetery and the Phuoc Ninh Valley.

Finally, Tet gifts will be also given to soldiers on the Truong Sa archipelago, local disadvantaged people, and offenders at the Hoa Son Detention Centre.
