The Central Airports Authorities recently imposed an administrative fine of 7.5 million VND on a Chinese passenger for using another person’s passport to board a flight.
At 9.50am on 8 January, customs officers at Da Nang International Airport found 30-year-old Xue Bao using a passport under the name 34-year-old Yang Yadi from China, before he boarded a flight to Hai Phong. Xue Bao’s own documents were also seized. He had used the passport, granted on 31 December 2014, to gain a boarding pass in Yang Yadi’s name for the Da Nang-Hai Phong flight. He also carried many ATM credit cards and a Chinese driving permit all in the name of Xue Bao.
The case is now under investigation.
