Over the past year, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children’s Rights Protection has raised a total of 13.4 billion VND for local charitable activities thanks to donations from local organisations and individuals.

In 2016, the Association is aiming to raise more than 15 billion VND to help local disavantaged people, including poor school pupils and needy people.  They intend to provide free portions of rice soup (chao) for poor patients, help single elderly people, and donate wheelchairs to local disabled people. 

In addition, a fund of between 15 and 50 million VND will be established by the Association’s chapters in each district, ward and commune in order to provide immediate help for people in unexpected incidents or in difficult circumstances.
