On Thursday, the Da Nang Party Committee Secretary, Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, made inspection visits to the construction sites of the approach road on the northwest side of the Hue T-junction overpass, the north-west traffic axis No 1, and the new northwest urban areas Nos 2 and 7.

Although the overpass was officially opened to traffic on 29 March 2015, the construction of the northwest approach road, at a cost of over 8.5 billion VND, has yet to be completed.

To date, 90% of the construction of the north-west traffic axis No 1 has been finished, and the work is expected to be fully completed in March.  At the northwest urban areas Nos 2 and 7, 95% of the technical infrastructure has already been built, and this work should also be completed in March.     

Secretary Anh urged the construction units to ensure the quality and on-schedule progress of the projects, and especially to focus on their aesthetics.  He also asked the Lien Chieu authorities and local relevant agencies to accelerate site clearance and the compensation and relocation of affected families in accordance with the city’s rules.
