A group of doctors from the Operation Smile Viet Nam fund will perform free surgery on people from Da Nang with cleft lips or palates between 18 and 22 April.  The surgery will take place at the Hue Odonto-stomatology Hospital at 83 Nguyen Hue in Hue City.  On 16 April at the same hospital, doctors will carry out free screening tests for anyone who registers for the surgery.

The beneficiaries are children with cleft lips who are over 6 months of age and weigh at least 8kg, along with those with cleft palates aged at least 18 months and weighing 10kg or more.  In addition, teenagers and adults with cleft lips or palates can enjoy the benefits of the programme, providing they are not suffering from other diseases relating to heart, lung, malnutrition or asthma.
