The refurbishment of 2 historic sites in Hoa Phat Ward in Da Nang’s Cam Le District started on Wednesday. The sites are patriotic scholar Thai Phien’s worship house and the tomb of scholar Thai Thi Boi.
The refurbishment of the 4,080m2 area will focus on upgrading the grounds and fences, planting trees, and creating a new public park and parking spaces. The restoration work will cost an estimated 2.8 billion VND and is expected to be completed in the next 6 months.
The refurbishment is necessary to satisfy the spiritual demands of local residents as well as to educate the younger generations about Vietnamese traditional history in order to uphold their spirit of ardent patriotism and national pride.
