Earth Hour 2016, which has ‘Small Action, Big Meaning’ as its theme, will take place in Da Nang between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Saturday 19 March.

In response to the campaign, local households, enterprises and businesses are being asked to turn off lights and non-essential electrical equipment during that hour.  The city’s power company will display posters and banners about Earth Hour 2016 on local streets to encourage residents to save electricity.

Last year, the city saved 25,300 kWh of electricity, equal to 36.6 million VND, during Earth Hour 2015, which showed an increase of 17% compared with 2014.
