Work on public Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Park to start late July
Published: March 01, 2016
A public Japan-Viet Nam Cultural Exchange Park will be built on an area near the Quan The Am (Avalokitecvara) Pagoda in Ngu Hanh Son District. The construction is scheduled to start on 31 July this year and is expected to be completed in October 2018.
Designed by Japan’s leading architects, the public park will feature areas for Japanese bonsai trees and traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, along with many other fascinating areas. The Japanese government will donate 5,000 young cherry blossom trees to plant in the park. The flowers will help local residents and visitors gain an insight into the cultural symbol of Japan, also known as ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’.
