Free heart surgery programme to benefit 50 poor child patients

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, Mr Huynh Uy Dung, and representatives from the Da Nang General Hospital have entered into an agreement about providing free surgery for poor children with heart congenital failure.
Under the agreement, the ‘Hang Huu Heart Fund’, named after Mr Dung’s 4-year-old son, will cover all the surgical costs for an initial 50 poor children from Da Nang and neighbouring localities, with more likely in future years.
Running until 2030, this charity fund is expecting to spend around 1,000 billion VND nationwide on covering congenital heart disease surgery for 15,000 poor children.
