From now until the end of 2020, the focus will be on promoting the district’s economic development in a sustainable manner in order to further improve the quality of life of the locals.
Importance will be attached to raising public awareness about the significance of upgrading programmes in rural areas in order to appeal for the whole community to join efforts for the district’s progress. In addition, heed will be paid to issuing preferential policies to attract more domestic and foreign investment into local agriculture, which in turn helps to accelerate the district’s agricultural modernisation.
Greater effort will be made to effectively implement a project to promote the use of advanced technologies in agricultural production to increase its capacity over the 2016 - 2020 period. Attention will also be paid to reaching the district’s targets for 2020 of no poor families, and raising the local average per capita income to 50 million VND per year.
In addition, top priority will be given to making the district’s environment more green, clean and beautiful, and ensuring sufficient clean water supplies for all local residents. Importance will also be attached to effectively implementing local social welfare programmes, providing vocational training courses for young people, and ensuring security.
Deputy Minister Nam stressed the need for the district to perfect the local criteria for their rural area development, and restructure its economic sector in line with the city’s rapid pace of urbanisation. Top priority should be given to promoting the development of high-tech agriculture and ensuring food safety and hygiene for local residents.
