City leader inspects work on houses for social policy families

On Wednesday, the Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Vo Cong Tri, made inspection visits to check repairs to deteriorated houses, and the building of new ones, for social policy families in Ngu Hanh Son District.

The beneficiaries are Mrs Luong Thi Hiep, a war invalid, Mrs Luong Thi Xuan, the daughter of a martyr, Mrs Huynh Thi Loi, also the daughter of a martyr, and Mrs Huynh Thi Thoi whose late husband benefited the country’s policy for war prisoners.

Mrs Loi had been given 60 million VND from the city’s budget to build her new house.  Meanwhile, Mrs Hiep and Mrs Xuan had received 50 million VND and 38 million VND respectively from the city and district budgets to repair their deteriorated homes. 

During the inspection visits, Deputy Secretary Tri praised the great efforts of the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities in actively supporting and carefully checking the repairs and replacements.  He took the opportunity to ask them to urge construction units to ensure high quality work and on-schedule progress.

According to the district authorities, 158 houses of local social policy families needed repairing or replacing this year, and so far 105 have been completed.  The work on the remaining 53 is underway.
