Positive results from collecting information about health insurance buyers
On Tuesday, a nationwide online meeting took place to review the creation of lists of health insurance buyers and the granting of social insurance books to employees across the country.
As of 30 May, personal information about over 87.5 million health insurance holders, representing 95.8% of the country’s population, had been collected. In Da Nang, information about 99.6% of the city’s health insurance buyers has been collected in a rapid and effective manner, whilst 83.7% of those buyers have now received their health insurance cards. These positive results were mainly attributed to the great efforts of the staff in the local social insurance and postal sectors.

As of 31 December 2015, 99.9% of the city’s social insurance participants had received their social insurance books.
Representatives from the municipal Department of Social Insurance stressed the need to raise awareness amongst employees of the importance of carefully keeping their social insurance books. In particular, after receiving their books, the recipients should thoroughly check that their personal information as printed on the books, including name, date of birth, job title and place of work, is correct and ask relevant agencies to correct any wrong information as soon as possible.
