Based on international standard research methods, PAPI 2015 focused on surveying citizens’ involvement in political tasks and their opinions on legal documents in order to promote their mastery rights. The results of the PAPI 2015 rankings will help authorities improve the performance of their administrative agencies in order to provide better public services for their citizens.
The Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Internal Affairs, Mr Che Viet Son, remarked that the city authorities have made great efforts to effectively deal with public administrative procedures for local citizens, businesses and organisations. Over recent years, local administrative agencies have given explanations and apologies in writing to local organisations and individuals for any delays in handling their administrative dossiers.
Importance has also been attached to increasing the checks on administrative reform at local government agencies and solving local issues which are of high concern. In particular, the city leaders always assess the annual PAPI rankings in order to issue more practical policies and guidelines. This positive move has helped to improve the city’s governance and public administration performance.
