Summer camp for young overseas Vietnamese
As many as 110 outstanding young overseas Vietnamese from across the world are attending the Viet Nam Summer Camp 2016 from 10 - 23 July.
This year’s programme, entitled ‘Overseas Vietnamese Youth with National Cultural Heritages’, is featuring many meaningful activities in northern and central localities, including Da Nang.
Between 19 and 23 July, the participants will visit some historical and cultural sites in Da Nang, and in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces.
In Da Nang, they will present books to children who are at the city’s Care Centre for Street Children, plant casuarina trees along local beaches, and take part in cultural exchange activities with local young people.
The closing ceremony for the camp will take place at Son Tra District’s East Sea Park on Friday evening at 7.00pm.
The annual Viet Nam Summer Camp creates an opportunity for young expatriates to improve their Vietnamese language skills, as well as enhance their knowledge about the national history, culture and traditions of their country of origin.
