Approval has recently been given by the Da Nang People's Committee to spend 1.2 billion VND on refurbishing tree-planted areas along 16 local major streets.  This is in preparation for the 25^th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit which will take place in the city in October 2017.

Green trees along Bach Dang

The city’s Green Trees-Park Company will replace existing infested, rotted or stunted trees with new ones, and plant more trees in areas lacking greenery.  Each of the soon-to-be-planted or replaced trees will be 4m in height with a diameter of around 10cm.

In addition, all damaged tree pits will be replaced with concrete ones which will be the same height as the pavement.
