Administrative reforms 2015 reviewed
The Da Nang Departments of Customs and Home Affairs, and the district authorities in Ngu Hanh Son, were jointly ranked top in the city-level administrative reforms in 2015.

This statement was made by Mr Che Viet Son, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Home Affairs Department, at a recent meeting to review the implementation of muncipal administrative reforms last year.
In particular, the Customs Department secured top position amongst the 6 city-based central government agencies, followed by the Departments of Taxation and Social Insurance.
Amongst the 21 agencies under the management of the municipal People’s Committee, the Home Affairs Department took the lead, whilst the Departments of Construction, and Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs were runners-up in the rankings.
In the district category, Ngu Hanh Son District climbed to the top position from the bottom in 2014. Hai Chau and Son Tra districts came second and third respectively.
With regard to archives services, the departments of Finance, Information and Communications, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Culture and Sports, and Tourism achieved very good results. Eleven others were ranked as good and 8 fair.
Speaking at the meeting, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh praised the above-mentioned high-ranking agencies for their remarkable achievements. However, he said that the current municipal administrative reforms have yet to meet the expectations of the local authorities and residents due to some cumbersome procedures.
Vice Chairman Minh asked local relevant agencies to take the initiative and submit their annual administrative reform plans to the local authorities for consideration, as well as resolutely dealing with any administrative procedure-related problems.
