Lifestart Foundation said in a press release the same day that they had donated 2,130 cans of Infansure milk to children under 2 years old in several locations in Quang Nam, including Dien Ban District, Hoi An, Tam Ky Orphanage, and others.
In Dien Ban District, the organisation presented 456 cans of milk to 72 struggling families with ailing or disabled children.
The sponsored milk is collectively worth VND900 million (US$40,179), according to Lifestart.
Founded in 2000 by Karen Leonard, an Australian citizen, Lifestart Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation that aims to assist disadvantaged families and individuals in striving for a better life.
The organisation helps those in need through vocational training and other programs that bring about positive and comprehensive change.
Previously, Lifestart provided sponsorship for families to establish micro-businesses, granted education scholarships to disadvantaged children, and funded medical care for those suffering serious illnesses.
Lifestart is also calling for participants in a charity ride, slated for 2017, which needs 20 riders who will cycle 750km over the course of ten days in central Viet Nam, each expected to raise a minimum 2,500$ for a fund to help Vietnamese youth afford college.
