On Tuesday, the Da Nang Department of Tourism organised a training course for directors and managers from some of the local 3 to 5-star hotels which have been chosen to serve international athletes and coaches during the forthcoming 5^th Asia Beach Game (ABG5).

The participants were given useful information about ABG5, the customs and cultures of foreign countries, reception principles, and communication rules, as well as how to enhance their professional service skills and to ensure security, firefighting and food safety during the event.

In addition, other courses have been held for managers of housekeeping, restaurants and reception at these hotels.  Also, helpful skills in communication and dealing with unexpected situations have been provided for employees at the city’s Tourist Support Centre, members of local cyclo and taxi teams, and traders in shopping areas.
