Da Nang to adorn sea dyke with tourist-friendly arts
Da Nang plans to decorate a 1.5km concrete sea dyke wall with paintings and ceramic mosaics from 2016 - 2017, creating an arts space and tourist attraction in the locality.

Vice Director of the city’s Culture and Sports Department Nguyen Huu Chien, said the project, which will run along the My Khe beach, will be built at a cost of 11.4 billion VND (506,000 USD) which will come from donors.
Mr Chien said sculptors, architects and arts students from Da Nang will be the main creators of the arts project which will feature scenes of the sea, fishing villages, landscapes, people, history and lifestyle of Da Nang, and the central region as a whole.
This project will be the first of its kind in Da Nang. It will run between the intersections of Vo Van Kiet and Vo Nguyen Giap streets. It will end at the intersection with Nguyen Van Thoai – the most crowded beach section in Da Nang.
