Jubilant atmosphere of Mid-autumn Festival across city
Despite the recent persistent rain and winds, a cheerful and festive atmosphere has been spreading through Da Nang in the build up to today’s (15 September) Mid-autumn Festival.

Over recent days, the city’s Care Centres for AO Victims and Disadvantaged Children have welcomed many delegations and organisations from both home and abroad who have visited to present Mid-autumn gifts to the children.
Meanwhile, the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital and local generous donors have presented over 2,000 Mid-autumn gifts, in total worth more than 268 million VND, to child patients. The gifts included mooncakes, candies, milk, lanterns and cash. The children were also treated to impressive performances by local lion dance groups.
Various fascinating Mid-autumn activities have been organised for children in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phu Commune. They were given gifts donated by generous local donors.
In addition, mid-autumn gifts were given to children from the city’s Hy Vong (Hope) Village which is a home for poor, disabled and orphaned children.
The city’s Youth Union of Business Block and the Lien Chieu District Youth Organisation have jointly organised a Mid-autumn Festival for children in the Van Village.
