During the first few days of the week, mild sunshine is forecast across the north, with evening and nighttime drizzles, Le Thi Xuan Lan, a Ho Chi Minh City-based weather expert said.

North-central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh can expect to be drenched by rain while the rest of the region, including Da Nang, will experience highs of between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, with minor showers predicted in the evening.

Provinces in the south should continue to see bright days and wet evenings, with high temperatures between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, Lan said, adding that the rain intensity is likely to increase by the weekend.

Downpours and high winds are imminent in some places in the south on the weekend, with morning haze also anticipated, the climate specialist concluded.
